Dan Mauck, CFP®
Dan joined Clintsman Financial Planning in 2004. His prior wealth advisory experience at two major accounting firms (Arthur Andersen and KPMG) proves especially useful in addressing clients’ investment and tax planning needs including company compensation and stock plans. “Caring for clients is at the heart of our business. It is common for clients to feel overwhelmed by the complexity of their financial assets and accounts, especially during a major life transition such as retirement, divorce, or loss of a loved one. Simplifying their situation, then seeing the clarity this brings them is very satisfying.”
Dan devotes a significant amount of time toward practice management and operational strategy as well as the mentoring and development of younger talent within the firm. He holds BS degrees in both Family Financial Planning and Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University. Dan has been honored in D Magazine’s list of the “Best Financial Planners in Dallas” every survey since 2004 and is perennially named a Five Star Wealth Manager in Texas Monthly. Dan has received two Distinguished Alumni Awards from his alma mater, served as a past president of the DFW Financial Planning Association, and has been quoted by media such as the Dallas Morning News and Accounting Today.
Dan believes in “giving back”, as exemplified by having been a group leader at church for the Crown Financial Ministries education program and as Founder of the Alumni Advisory Board for Texas Tech’s Personal Financial Planning program. Dan resides in Richardson, Texas, and enjoys ranching, American history, and spending time with family and friends.
